Story:
I am Alassane, I come from the republic of Benin. This shirt is from the team of my village called Mila Diougou in which I was the captain. The village head gave it to me on the day of the final in which we won the trophy. I had done everything to bring the team to the final but, unfortunately, in the first half I broke my leg so I could not continue. For me this t-shirt has a very deep meaning of happiness but also of sadness. I came with this shirt from my country passing through Niger, Algeria, Tunisia up here in Italy. Today, when I put on this shirt I feel like I’m in my village. We have always played with red t-shirts but this was the most precious gift I received as a personal title. First we thought they would give it to the whole team but instead they only gave it to me. When my village camp gave me this shirt I felt very happy. At that moment I no longer felt the pain of my broken leg. Even in Niger some friends asked me to give them as a gift but I always said no. I also have a twin but this shirt was the only thing I could not give to him and we came to Italy together. To this day, I keep asking myself why they gave me such a special gift.
