Story:

Lahoucine arrived in Greece from Morocco in 2008.

I thought I should leave to find a better life. My family is there, only my younger brother is in France. He left, like me. I came to Greece because the routes were easier compared to other countries, such as Spain, that we have borders with. I haven’t been back since, because I’m facing difficulties with my legal documents.

Lahoucine explains that he wanted to be taught Greek in a school, because everything he knows, he learnt in the streets or from friends.

I wanted to bring another object, other than the keychain, which is traditional. It is called “tazin”. It is made from soil and we use it to cook with. I’m currently working at a Moroccan restaurant.
