Quite often, the clothes and accessories that a person chooses to wear can have -apart from their practical usage- a symbolism, a folklore significance. They represent an era or a place, while they can also symbolise a social status or an ethnic group. When a piece of clothing or an accessory travels with its owner outside the historical-geographical context in which it was produced, it embodies a link with this context, which -perhaps- remains unaltered over time.
