Story:
The necklace was a gift from an artist (Maher Alaa Aldin) during the last time I saw my family. We were at the beach—a rare and special moment where I felt safe and surrounded by love. The artist, part of a Syrian project that brings sea stones to life, saw how deeply I connected to it and gave it to me.
When I left for Turkey, thinking I’d only be gone for a week, I took almost nothing with me except this necklace. Now, four years later, I can’t return to Syria, but this necklace remains my connection to my family, my country, and that rare moment of happiness. It’s more than jewelry—it’s a piece of my identity.
