Story:

This plate comes from my hometown, Meybod, Yazd. Its design, Khurshid Khanum, means “sun” and represents the women of central Iran—strong and radiant, like the sun. I see myself in it; the face feels like mine.

I carried this plate with me as I moved—from Tehran to Urmia, then to Van, Istanbul, and finally Yalova. It reminds me of my childhood, when my sister made beautiful pottery at home. Our house was filled with mugs, plates, and soft, fragrant soil. The smell of the pottery and the touch of the soil brought comfort and joy.

I left my country seven years ago, but this plate holds a piece of it for me. It carries the beauty, warmth, and good feelings of my homeland, a reminder of its poetry and light.
